Everyone is familiar with The Las Vegas Strip; you might be aware of Freemont Street (I just heard about it a couple of weeks prior to when I left for the Strip.) However, Ellis Island is the place to visit. We heard about it after in search of a good breakfast spot. Now I think you’re wondering: what’s this got to have to do with Vegas? In the end, Ellis Island is a location on the New York Harbor that served as an immigration point. (It was closed in 1924.) Anyone who has seen the film “Hitch” might be able to recall the scene in which it was mentioned.
Ellis Island in Vegas is an elegant and budget-friendly hotel that is just a few blocks from the Bellagio. It is home to a casino and restaurant. Although it’s not located on the strip, it is close to it. Village pub Village pub is priced moderately, and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. The ambience is warm and inviting and the bar has Poker tables, which include Black Jack, Keno, as well as other games. (Blackjack is my favorite) In contrast to the bars in the strip’s casino Bartenders are able to ensure that your drinks are full, unless you specifically request it. You can also sing karaoke if are looking to test your skills in singing.
Ellis Island is Vegas’ most secret as well as Family owned. It is a place to drink, play, eat and sing all in one place. It is a great location, far from the bustle and craziness of the Strip, but close enough to the excitement that makes Freemont Street the most well-known street. Although it may not be as glamour and glitz or the myriad of activities that you can encounter at Freemont Street, but if you’re looking for delicious food, entertainment and games, a warm, welcoming environment, without crowds Las Vegas’s best kept secret is where you should be.
